Appearance:
Nao had always been referred to as her mothers twin, having looked very much like the woman in which birthed her. Not only that, but she had gotten a few characteristics of her mother. Such as wrinkling her nose when she's angry or that sad smile that often appears on her face when she tries to hide away her worries, or is thinking of things that would bring such a feeling. It is an honor to look as her mother, for kindness is beauty within itself and nothing else is more important then the beauty of the heart or mind. Nao is also usually wearing the very kimono her mother had worn, along with many different colors and even different designs upon them. She carries with her, her fathers trusted Katana. The one he had pride in. It is quite the beauty.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. With long brown hair and deep violet eyes, this olive skinned girl appears as ordinary as any other. Nao is usually seen dressed in an light pink kimono, a hand sewed design of red roses flow across the silk fabric of her kimono. Around her waist is tied a red sash, in which golden birds and pink and black water lily's scatter across it. Her long hair is usually kept in an long braid that rests over her right shoulder. It is rarely ever worn down. Standing 5'6 and weighing around 110, she is quite slender. Her chest is around a 40 c cup and she carries herself as an independent woman. A kind and gentle soul, with an horrid past that haunts her.

History:
"Rain..Rain..Go away, leave me to my pain...Painful memories of my past." Growing up, Nao was blessed with loving parents and a loving younger brother Iekaru. Nao and him had been close, almost like twins they were very hard to separate. Nao's father was a swordsman, he had helped defend the innocent and would rid the world of the wicked. Though, Nao hadn't been one for blood shed, her mother was a doctor and had helped those sick and wounded. Nao had also taken an interest in such. To help those who could not help themselves. Though, not long after Nao turned 17 her family was killed by demons and her village burnt to the ground. With only her father's blade and her mothers wisdom of her mother, she had become a doctor and had became the personal doctor of the Shinsengumi. While also carrying the fighter her father had been. Wielding his blade. Nao had become rather close to the Shinsengumi and had grown a very strong bond with each of them. She had sworn to carry out the legacy of both her parents and honor them until death. Her brother hasn't been seen since he had escaped the attack.
Nao is haunted by the memories of her past, flashbacks and nightmares of the brutal murders that were committed. The hungry flames that engulfed the village with rage. Her parents mangled and slaughtered bodies. It is tramatizing and disturbing..Heartbreaking even. To make matters worse, a new clan called the Geidoushi have begun to make themselves known, along with their intent to kill and destroy the Shinsengumi. This group is ran by a man called the one eye'd demon. Also known as Iekaru Ikkoushen. Or more so Nao's younger brother, a half-yokai. His blood lust and hate, fuels his need to kill and massacre villages and innocent people. His targets are mostly women and samurai, though he has been known to kill children. Nao later finds out that he was the culprit responsible for the death of their parents, village and such.

At the beginning, a boy named Ranmaru was sent to kill Nao, but the Shinsengumi had prevented it. If it weren't for Heisuke's blade, Nao would of been killed. Though, Ranmaru was tricked and his people threatened by the Geidoushi and that had lead him to carry out this mission. Ranmaru later begins to help the Shinsengumi and that leads to a good friendship between both Nao and him. Also in saying such, Nao beguins to develope strong and romantic feelings for Souji Okita, even as far as falling deeply inlove with the man.

Elegance and beauty, what a perfect way to describe these trees of life. A cherry blossom tree had been the very description of beauty. Resting upon the porch of the shinsengumi dojo, the young woman had watched the branches sway so gently in the breeze. Her violet hues held a sort of gentle and soft nature to them, though wise and motherly as well. The woman would lift the clay cup to her red painted lips. It was a lovely sight, divine even. Nao would sigh gently, her long brunette hair flowed over her left shoulder and braided with an dark purple lace ribbon. The air smelt sweet, though it was most likely the cherry blossom tree's fault. It had it's own unique and inviting scent. Underneath the moonlight, the Sakura petals had been given a faint glow. Light pink in color, a frown pressed to her lips. It had reminded her of past memories, of her younger brother who had gone missing after the village was set ablaze and their people were slaughtered.

Dropping her eyes to her reflection, it had seemed years had passed to quickly. She had now worked as the personal doctor of the Shinsengumi, though a blade she had always kept at her side, would bring safety and security to her soul. Standing from the porch, she started toward the tree. Her bare feet lightly patted across the cold dirt ground. Raising a bare hand, her fingers caressed the tree trunk with care."Tree of life and love, bring my brother back to me unharmed.."She begged, her forehead dropped to lean against the bark."Please do me this favor, I beg of you.."She muttered in a hushed voice. She wished for nothing more then that, to see Iekaru again..To hold him and comfort him. Tilting her head back, her violet gaze followed up to the large bush of pink flowers that seemed to cover the branches.

The light breeze had caught the long sleeves of her kimono, causing the cloth to whip back and forth as the winds changed. Raising a hand to her chest, she felt for her heart. Which had been filled with the sorrow and misery of her dreaded and unkind past. Closing her eyes, she would search for peace.
